i beat my mac

Bad things happened. Good things happened. But they all happened for a reason, right?

Last week was pretty hell. It was the time of the months. Yes people. I did not behave properly. I caused my friends trouble. I apologize. And yesterday was categorized the worst.

Note to Macbook Pro (MBP) users who bought their mac here in US. It has dvd drive that's region-locked. You can't play any dvd unless it's coded for Region 1. But we're gonna bring this baby back to Malaysia, right? And by any chance, you might wanna watch dvd, right? Then you can't. Coz Malaysia is in Region 3. Darn it.

I was working on unlocking my dvd drive since this morning. I blog-hopped, forum-hopped. I read all possible articles. I downloaded all possible dvd rippers for mac and stuff. It didn't work. The latest MBP has newest Matshita drive, which hard to deal with. You can't get a hand on it.

But I did it. I unlocked my drive. It's now in RPC-1 (region-free drive). I can play any dvd regardless of the region coding. Oh well, many people have done it. They've realized that mac dvd player sucks way before I did. Yes, the solution is - WINDOWS XP lah. Hahaha

Thus, today's the best. Thanks to Mr. ben11 (whoever he is, he's the best) for working on the firmware patch for mac people. Saikoo nee!

Plus, thanks to Arashi. I didn't know about this dvd thingy if I hadn't become their fangirl. I bought their dvd, and it's Region 2 coded so yeah. That explains.

To sum it up - I BEAT MY MAC. There you go.

So people, good luck on your finals. I'm DONE for this quarter. Mr. Azizi, lets meet up and finish the poster decoration only. Lets present the decoration instead of glycogen metabolism.
