I once said that I would NEVER take Genetic Engineering coz I've seen the seniors suffered enough from staying up late in the lab, writing 50 pages worth of lab report and such. In the end, I was able to enjoy the fun staying in lab from 10 AM - 10 PM. It was worth it. The amount of works were exceptionally too much for a person with no patience. But I have three wonderful people with me to share those uneasy feelings. And these three people were the ones that gave me courage to continue this course. And even for one of us, the three other people mean a lot to a soul.
What GE had taught us? Repeating experiment is GE, and GE is repeating experiment, NO?
Patience.
- As we walked along the path, time is not the factor. I know that we used to compete with each other - "Sape cepat abeskan lab, die hebat" but that rule wasn't applied this time.
- Though some of us were a bit annoyed with people who keep telling us that we have no life, they did not say anything particular. Coz we understand that it's what people see from the outside.
- And though some of us were left behind in their circle, they keep their heads up. Coz we knew that in oder to gain something, sometimes we have to lose things. It's fair enough. And I have to say that I've lost too many valuable things. But because I have such an ego, I let it go.
Fun.
- All we could say is to choose your lab partner carefully. You must have a high tolerancy towards sarcastics things and such.
- I know "fun" might sound so wrong but it's the passion that drives us to do things we desired. (Mior, 2010)
All I could say is "Never say NEVER" coz you might end up eating your words in the future. Who knows?
With that being said, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you three people for being such a wonderful people.
Mior, thanks for bearing with my "jangan kacau aku tengah concentrate nak pipette ni" attitude.
Athirah, thanks for being a good neighbor and moof lifter. You created such a beautiful environment in lab every time. And I could say that you are one of the people that have made this lab an interesting lab in Abah's eyes.
Sakina, thanks for being a good neighbor too, and a partner I could talk to. We still have a lot more to learn and I hope you won't get discouraged by little things, ok?
I'm not promoting GE, I just want to express my gratitudes. Well, you don't know, until you try. So try your best people! To those who are graduating, Happy Graduation! Lets walk through a new path. And for Juniors, Sophomores and Freshies, you still have a long way to go. Work hard and don't worry, it's worth it. Good luck.
みんな、ありがとう!
