How did the older generations survive without all these modern technologies? Seriously, they're awesome! Can you imagine yourself not holding a phone for A DAY? I cannot. I have to admit that I can't be separated from my phone. With or without a boyfriend. Now I'm stuck with this phone for almost 24/7, just imagine those who have partners. Uuuu~ it's like a commitment for life!
Anyway, I have a bunch of fangirlfriends (Arashi fangirls who happen to be my online friends) who live quite far from Malaysia. They're from Philippines, Singapore, London and Japan itself. Sometimes, I would send letters and some gifts for fun, or to show an appreciation.
LETTERS, mind you.
When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone? Form 5, to a girl you have a crush on? No? Hmm, standard 6, to a boy you totally got crazy over?
My point exactly.
I never wrote a letter to someone. Ok I lied. I wrote bunch of love letters when I was in Standard 6. Well hello, we no have cellphone during that time so yeah.
But I guess the younger generation thinks that letters are for old people, how they get connected with each other. I can't blame them younger generation, though. I for one think that email would have been better. But email is virtual. Letter is real. I don't know.. I have the urge of sending letters to my fellow Arashi fangirls coz I wish they lived closer to me. :\
You know, the feeling when you're at the receiving end is like... you feel special. It's a letter sent to you. From someone you know. Knowing that someone is there to take time and write for you is just.. happiness? ;) It depends on how you see things from your perspective, though. As for me, I'd go all giddy when I open the mailbox and see that there's one letter with an address and name written by someone, and not printed. CAN YOU EVEN RELATE? LOL
Ok. My point is, I forgot what I wrote to my friend. TROLOLOLOL I know. That's one of the many disadvantages in this letter-sending method. So I'd feel bad if the letter arrives like a month after and I forgot and my friend would go "OMGOMG I got your letter and thanks bb for bla bla bla bla" and I'm stuck in from of my laptop screen trying hard to remember what freaking things did I put down on that letter.
So to make sure you remember what you write to a friend, make a copy. Heh
