since when do i have this big ego?

i don't let anybody near me.
i don't pour all my heart out anymore.
i don't play forgiveness.
i don't seek for one's attention.
i don't do stupid stuff.
i don't talk nice things.

thought i'm resistant to changes.
guess i'm not.
this i got from being overly protective over myself.
for being accused of changing.
i play defense.
thought it brings no harm but it actually does.

things don't change.
people do.
