As you may or may not know, Athirah moved in with me last week, just until after raya I guess. She accepted an offer to work with Malaysia Genome Institute. And now she's a working woman. Working women are easily stressed out.
Little do you know about working environment in Malaysia (referring to the lab).
- If you're a fresh graduate or an intern, you're officially their buruh kasar (quoting Tira). I knew this not only from Tira but my other friends. They'll make you do small things like making copies of documents and such. In Tira's situation, they're making her go nuts. She's working on a PhD level project and I saw her study last night. Oh I've missed student life.
- Biotech peeps, you know that we can used as many centrifuge tubes as we want, and we can throw away if it's mislabeled, right? Here, we HAVE to reUSE it. They GO GREEN oh my goodness!
Whatever it is, cherish the moment being a student. Trust me, you'll miss being so clumsy finishing all the works and you'll miss being under a lot of pressure completing the task.
